What’s Hot: Green Eyeshadow

To be honest, it’s not a color trend I saw at Fashion Week for the fall, but it is something I have been coming across more and more lately and honestly? I’m becoming a little obsessed. I am adoring green eyeshadow.
One of MAC’s upcoming collections, Cult of Cherries, has an eyeshadow quad called Tempting Eye. The palette contains a subtle beige, copper, chocolate brown…and a pale lime green. I wore it yesterday and fell in love. (Will take a pic of the palette when I get a chance since it is not out in stores yet!)
Today I am wearing NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Rebecca which is a kiwi and amber.
That green reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream.

You can find it in Too Faced’s Smoky Eyes palette for this fall, except versus a light green, it is emerald.
Holy Kevyn Aucoin. How can you not look at his Essential Eyeshadow Palette #6 in awe? It is almost along the same lines as the colors in NARS, but deeper hues.
Laura Geller rocks it in her Eye Shadow Duo Sweet Pea; a mix of light and dark green. She also has Rosebud, a golden pink and deep green.

This trio from Fresh is beautiful. And if you have kids who watch Johnny & the Sprites you know exactly how I am saying beautiful! Besides that mossy green color you can also see a slight green in the brown as well.
Have you been noticing this color pop up in shadows and palettes more? Do you love or hate the color?

I like some greens. I’ve worn MAC’s Aquavert and Aromaleigh’s Divine Intervention and Estranged. I love lime greens and deeper warm greens.
The idea of wearing mint chocolate colors is strangely appealing, if only because I love mint chocolate chip!
I am a lover of green shadows. They look great with brown eyes. In fact, I’m wearing green today – MAC shadow in Bitter!
