image001Women’s Health Magazine held their first ever Beauty Awards this year. Women’s Health breaks down which beauty products are really best for you. No voting from pre-picked lineups – the goods have been handpicked by an unbiased panel of the most respected professionals in the beauty biz. They listed their favorites – and Women’s Health lists them for you so you can make sense of all the options out there and look your very best this season.

Their July/August issue hits stands Tuesday June 26th. The winners in makeup are:

Best Powder: T. LeClerc Loose Powder in Banane

Best Concealer: Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage

Best Foundation: Giorgio Armani Hydra Glow

Best Bronzer: Guerlain Terracotta Moisturizing Bronzing Powder

Best Blush: MAC Cream Colour Base in Fresco

Best Lip Color: YSL Rouge Pur lipstick #120 Le Rouge

Best Lip Gloss: MAC Lipglass in Clear

Best Eyeliner: Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner in Blackest Black and Chanel Automatic Liquid Eyeliner in Black

    I do have to say that I’m surprised that LM received best concealer. I’ve found that if more than one layer is needed (which, lets face it, is nearly always) then this concealer gets cakey very quickly. I’m also suprised that they specified a color for the loose powder!

    Christine, I was also surprised that specific colors were winners. Maybe they just happen to be the most neutral shade for all skintones, therefore more people buy it?

    I’m surprised about that mascara too. I mean, I know a lot of people love it but there are definately better mascaras out there for the same price.

    This is the third time I have heard about Georgio Armani foundation. I know they have a foundation brush that is shaped like a fan so that you can brush your make up on in circles. I heard this was the best way to apply makeup.

    I also have to agree with them on the eyeliner. It’s my favorite!
