2009 VMA Red Carpet: Male Celebrity Edition

It was a unforgettable night in New York. The 2009 MTV Music Awards was filled with excitement and controversy which took place Radio Music City hall, Sunday night. But before the 2009 MTV Music Awards could kick into high gear, we were treated to celebrities walking down the red carpet.

So sit back as I review the male attendees for one of the most important nights in music.

After tonight. Kanye West can officially call himself the King of Controversy. The rap superstar stepped on the red carpet wearing a leather v-neck, distressed jeans and black belt. Maybe the bottle of alcohol was a sign of things to come?

All American Rejects front man, Tyson Ritter showed up to the award’s show busting out a hot pink tux with a black shoe.

‘300′ star Gerald Butler kept it casual sporting a tan leather jacket, black v-neck and denim jeans.

90210 star Tristan Wilds with a purple stripe v-neck w/ purple cuff shirt underneath, black blazer, and jeans.

R&B singer Ne-yo rarely fails when on the rep carpet-this event is no different. The Vest and Jeans are very well put together.

Taylor Lautner, star of the Twilight saga, getup is quite modern.

Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford kept it simple with a black tux and standard white shirt.

I was most surprised with Asher Roth. Reason being because it reminds me so much of Oliver Spencer’s work. Roth is wearing black cardigan, cuff shirt, grey slacks, and a classic brown shoe.
