30-Day Challenge – Natural Sunscreen.

graphic 30daychallengeI enjoyed probably the most perfect beach day at a glorious beach in Rhode Island yesterday.

Making it even more enjoyable was the fact that we left sunburn free, thanks to this chemical free sunscreen I picked up from Aubrey Organics.

Natural Sunscreen SPF 20 Unscented was my choice. I loathe fragrant sunscreens, so my natural choice was a natural one for me.

Natural Sun offers complete UVA/UVB coverage with the use of titanium dioxide, a mineral that actually deflects the suns rays off of your skin. The natural mineral use is well known in mineral makeup formulations, so it is a no-brainer that it works the same way in a sunscreen formulation with the added benefit that lasts much longer than a chemical sunscreen.

I had a really bad allergic reaction to this sunscreen. Did anyone else?

  2. Teri says:

We had no problems with this sunscreen at all. I wonder what caused the reaction for you.

  3. Tina says:

It is strange that you had a reaction. One of the things I love about skin products made from minerals is that they are extremely safe for sensitive and allergy prone skin. With my fair skin, I need all the help I can get.

A great place to buy adult and children’s sun protective clothing is http://www.alexandme.com. They carry over 35 brands so you can compare the different brands and make an informed choice. They also carry sunscreen, sunshoes and other accessories so it is really a one stop shop
