8 Gifts of Hanukah

Hanukkah is about faith, about the little guy winning the right fight, about perseverance and about purification. Why there are eight presents associated with it, I’ll never know. So that kids will pay attention? That’s what the jelly donuts are for. But, in keeping with the tradition, I thought you might like to know what I would want (or as my toddler says, I meed it):
One day at the Great Jones Spa in New York City. Specifically, a day doing their water cures.
Don’t bother me, and no cell phone.
The second day, now that I’m all relaxed, is to take a core fusion class at Exhale. You will please forward me a year long pass. The big gifts are in the beginning, darling.
The fourth day, you will contact my friend Susanna Jenney Herman and design a necklace, ring and a pair of earrings for me. Think either amber or pink stones. I trust her judgment. Why not go for both stones?
On the fourth day you will donate, on my behalf, to any number of these charities that you can find at the NDRC.
On the fifth day (it’s getting easier, don’t fret!) you can get me one of the Korres’s Body Butters. I like the Guava.
On the sixth day, a little foxy eye shadow from Bare Ecsentuals:
On the sixth day, a Viva Glam lip palette–100% of the proceeds going to AIDS charities
And finally, 8 of these.
Why 8? Because they are amazing, but you run through them quickly (they are the only thing that works!) and it’s Hanukah, so I wanted to keep it all symmetrical. And what not.
Thank you!!! I love it all!

Kim, you have impeccable taste and it would be my pleasure to take design direction from you, or to make something for you from my own design cache.
Might I also remind you of your fondness for lavender in the past? Close to your eyes it could be smashing.
