Pretty by Nature

Accent Your Updo With Recycled Buttons

The weather is lovely where in live in Northern California. I am hopeful that Spring weather will soon by the norm, rather than the exception. Warm weather means I’ve just got to get my long hair off of my neck. And I’ve got to do it as soon as possible.  I usually use a couple of long bobby pins to secure a loose twist or knot updo. They get the job down and they basically disappear into the brown color of my hair. Utilitarian. Boring.

Today I found these vintage recylced button hair pins. They are accented with Victorian glass buttons made in the 1800s. The buttons are 5/8 inch and have a carved flower design in them.  They are accented with gold. These hair pins are definitely a step up from my usual boring updo. What a lovely accent they would be.
