recipes bodyscrubsI hope you are having as much fun with these skin care recipes as I am. It is so fun to make your own “stuff” right in the kitchen, isn’t it?

All of the skin care recipes are courtesy of skin care expert Raechel Cunningham. You can read more about Raechel here. Today we will focus on Raechel’s recipes for the body.

The Honey Milk Bath For Sunburn
Ingredients
* 2 cups of raw uncooked oatmeal
* 1 cup of milk
* 1 tablespoon of honey
Pour all ingredients in to tepid-warm bath water. Soak for 5-10 min.

Baking Soda Soak For Sunburned or Itchy Skin
Ingredients
* 2 cups baking soda
Pour the baking soda into cool-tepid water. Soak in the bath up to 10 min.

Aloe For Sunburn
Ingredients
* 1-2 aloe leaves peeled
This may be a bit slimy but a fresh aloe leave applied to sunburn can be a huge relief. This may be applied as needed.

The Apple Bob For Dry/Ashy Skin
Ingredients
* 1 quart of apple juice
* ¼ cup of olive oil
Mix these 2 ingredients in a warm bath and soak away!

Mojito Scrub For Rough Hands or Feet
Ingredients (Just enough for one treatment)
* 1 Tablespoon of sugar
* 1 Tablespoon of olive oil
* 1/2 small lime
* 3-5mint leaves
Chop up mint leaves and squeeze 1/2 of a lime into mixing bowl. Combine remaining ingredients together. Massage scrub into hands or feet working the product around. This is also a great cuticle treatment!

If you have any skin care recipes you would like to share, please do so. I would love to publish them for all of us to try.

    Those recipes sound great! I also make a face mask out of ground oatmeal (just whizz it in a blender) honey and a little witch hazel or rose water. It’s soothing & feels wonderful!

    Chloe – That sounds awesome. I’ll have to try it, for sure.
