Taking a look over at Burt’s Bees, they are taking their natural standard campaign to the next level. They need our help. Go the following page to sign for Burt’s Bill: Burt’s Bill for Setting The Natural Standard. As there is no regulation on what product can and can not be claimed natural, Burt’s Bees is taking a strong stand. This “bill” is a drive to develop a standard for all natural personal care products. This would require that all natural personal care products: Meet the highest levels of being natural and safe Use a seal on all packaging to help consumers easily identify truly natural products If you agree with this, please take a quick moment to join us and sign Burt’s Bill for... Gosh, how I have totally fallen for Carol’s Daughter this past year. Just look at what I have gushed about: Almond Cookie scented products Gift Sets Browning Oil Candy Paint Lip Gloss I need to tell you a bit more about the lip gloss. I recently picked up two of these, one in Park Avenue Pink and one in Park Avenue Bling. Park Avenue Pink is the natural, glowy pink that looks good on just about anyone, while Park Avenue Bling is a bit “pinker” with some shimmer to it. Let me first say that these lip glosses are so much more like a balm, in that they are so moisturizing and long-lasting. Could it be all that grapeseed oil, shea butter, aloe vera extract and vitamin E that is in each tube? These glosses are so natural, with... [Read more]
Alicia Silverstone’s Sexy Veggie PSA

Alicia has always been a very vocal vegan, and am happy that she continues to take a stand. Even how controversial it may be, though I don’t find this controversial one bit. I guess that this latest PETA ad is being banned in different cities across the United States. This is nothing new for PETA, but I also thought that the right to free speech was nothing new either. Puleeze – I have seen much worse on Sunday night TV! Go, Alicia! [Read more]

I really enjoy SpaRitual nail care products, and some lucky celebs just got to enjoy some too. At the exclusive Eco-conscious Pre-Emmy Sonya Dakar Lounge, celebs, stylists, makeup artists, and reporters from E! Entertainment and Extra could not get enough of the vegan and eco-friendly line. Some even had a chance to get a SpaRitual mani or pedi. The beautiful Danneel Harris (from the popular tv series One Tree Hill) certainly looked beautiful with her fresh manicure courtesy of SpaRitual and one of their latest fall shades called Shrewd. All attendees of the event also walked off with a Green Girl Guide Gift Bag packed with eco-conscious beauty products including: Well-Connected Massage Crème infused with wildcrafted Indian Frankincense... I don’t know about you, but I have some left over icky dry skin trying to slough itself away. And it needs some major help. While I love scrubs of all kinds, my favorite scrubs have to be sugar scrubs. And when I went into my beauty closet, there was not a single sugar scrub to be found. Ugh. What to do, what to do? Make my own! So, I pulled out my handy dandy homemade beauty recipe files and forgot how many I have! Whoa – I will be trying a different one every few days until I get my skin soft, smoothe, and on the move. (Sorry – it’s early!) Just in case you would like to join in with me and scrub away the dead summer skin on yourself, here are my sugar scrub recipes: Brown Sugar Scrub 1/2 cup of brown sugar 1/4 cup... [Read more]
