Take a look at this pendant that I found over at Etsy in BillyBlue22’s shop. It’s made from what looks like the inner workings of a watch. I love the look of all the intricate pieces fitting together, little cogs and wheels.

The listing says that the vintage watch dates sometime between the 1940’s and the 1960’s. It still has “the rubies.” The chain is approximately 16 inches and there’s a zinc steel stop washer attached to the watch so that it can hang from a chain. I like how the washer echoes the look of the cogs in the watch mechanism.
Here’s another piece from BillyBlue22’s shop – a Silver Spoon Keyhole Necklace. It features a keyhole design on a vintage spoon. The spoon is from “the turn of the century,” and was first pounded flat, then the design was cut with a jeweler’s saw. The jewelry designer says that the first one was made for his mother as a gift. My mom would love this. She loves old fashioned keys and has a ring that she has worn since I was a small girl, but she has no keyholes.

I am all about this vintage clock necklace! I have actually seen a few of them roaming on necks of strangers…. I think it’s about time I crack open that vintage watch sitting in my drawer and make me a new piece of jewelry!
It’s beautiful, isn’t it? They did a great job with the photography, too.
