Honey Do

Honey is one of those old-fashioned treatments that always works. It doesn’t cost much and it can be used for so many things. The key however, is to make sure it’s an all-natural and organic honey as many brands have a high concentration of “sugars” and very little actual honey. It can be used from head to toe for whatever. One of my favorite recipes is for a hair conditioning treatment.
Combine equal parts honey and olive oil. I guess the ratio really depends on how dry your hair is. I use 1/4 cup honey to 1/4 olive oil. Sometimes a little less olive oil. Thoroughly coat your hair with the mixture and comb through with a wide tooth comb to make sure it’s evenly distributed. Then cover your head with a shower cap and let sit for 15 minutes to an hour. If I’m short on time I wrap a warm towel, just out of the dryer, over the shower cap to help things along. Then just shampoo and condition as normal. Works like a charm especially in the middle of winter when my hair is so dry it gets almost “crispy”. It seems to condition from the scalp down to the tips instead of just sort of sliding off my hair like some commercial conditioners. I urge you to try it. The results will be sweet. Get it. Because honey is sweet…nevermind.

I love honey! I will definitly try this.
