Pretty by Nature

Hope in a Jar for Pennies

I often find myself thinking these days, am I the only one? By that I mean, am I the only normal person in a sea of crazy people? I can’t be the only one who thinks you shouldn’t spend money needlessly just because you can. What does it say about our society that it has become this whole culture of consumption? The more expensive the better. And then people will tell you how much they spent. Like, since when is that cute? Talking about how much money you make and how much money you spend used to be really tacky and a sign of bad breeding. Don’t get me wrong, I will shout to the rafters about saving money but to me it’s not the same thing. To others I guess it could be just as tacky so maybe I’m one of the jerks I’m talking about. Whatever, I don’t care.

So guess how much money I saved the other day?!? Haha…I’m funny. Seriously, I love when I stumble across things that are cheap and easy, just like my husband. HA…I’ve got tons of these, I’m killin today. Anyway so I picked up some Bentonite Clay ($2.99 folks) in little jar and thought, “what the heck?” I had been reading stuff about taking it internally to detox or something (clearly I didn’t read further) and I just wasn’t down with that. Instead I used it as a paste on a few emerging pimples. Guess what happened? Nothing! They never emerged. I can’t believe it. I love clay masks but this one I didn’t use all over, I just did a spot treatment. I’m not even sure if I did it correctly but whatever I did worked. Has anyone tried this before and what was your experience? Do tell.

I haven’t tried that particular ‘brand’ or whatever, but I am totally on team clay for acne.
