Mineral Makeup is everywhere today. Not just niche brands such as Bare Escentuals offer Mineral Makeup anymore. Minerals are offered by more artist brands such as MAC Cosmetics, and even some mass marketed brands. I like the trend, but how do they compare? And… is all Mineral Makeup natural?

In doing just a quick search of Mineral Makeup in Foundations, I found the following Mineral Makeup at super sellers Sephora, Beauty.com, Drugstore.com, and Ulta.com:
Urban Decay Surreal Skin Mineral Makeup
Vincent Longo Liquid Canvas Dew Finish Foundation SPF 15
Laura Mercier Mineral Powder SPF 15
LOLA Cosmetics Pearl LUMINOUS Brightening & Light Diffusing Powder
Bare Escentuals i.d. bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation
Sue Devitt Triple C-Weed Whipped Foundation
Amazing Cosmetics Perfectly Amazing Foundation
Jane Mineral Be Pure Makeup
Jane Iredale Amazing Base Loose Minerals SPF 20
philosophy the supernatural airbrushed canvas
Neutrogena Mineral Sheers
Susan Posnick Colorflo
Alison Raffaele Mineral Powder
Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation SPF 19
4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Powder By Pur Minerals

I want to know! Do you think Mineral Makeup is just a trend? Do you prefer Mineral Makeup? If you do, what is your favorite brand?

I love mineral makeup: for people with sensitive skin and (lots of) facial flaws that needs to be hidden it is such a good thing. However, I doubt that all the drugstore brands are offering mineral makeup that is 100% natural.

I recently started using mineral makeup, and I love it. I’ve tried a few brands and I’m completely in love with Everyday Minerals. http://www.everydayminerals.com

Their foundation gives me a flawless skin, is so light that I don’t feel that I have it on my skin and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I’ve tried lots of regular foundations and they give me breakouts, and contain really weird ingredients, except for perservatives, perfume and oils. I love that mineral makeup doesn’t contain unneccessary ingredients.

Thanks for letting us know about Everyday Minerals. I will be sure to check them out and possibly give them a try.

I love mineral make-up and have been using it for years. first I tried bare esentials, then I found philosophy. philosophy is the absolute best! I have had trouble with breakouts and I find that after using mineral make-up, I have no more problems. I have also tried joppa and a few drug store brands, but trust me ladies – GO FOR QUALITY! in my opinion, and for my skin philosophy wins! thanks for reading! kim

I have a Philosophy Supernatural makeup right now, I just haven’t tried it yet.

This is why I love to hear from my readers and their true love for a product, as you just convinced me to give it a try today.

This is a fun trend! If you are interested in natural skin care products with minerals check out Palm’Hydra Sparkling. This is a top notch moisturizer with mica minerals for a real subtle but gorgeous look on your skin! Bonus: no chemicals, glycerins, or animal products!

I have been using sheer cover mineral makeup and I love it. It is from the same company that makes Pro-active solution (for acne). I will be honest, this is the first one I have tried. But I like it so much, I don’t know that I need to try another kind. I have heard good things about Bare Minerals though.

Hello, i just wanted to add that i also tried bare minerals and i broke out really bad, stopped using it and tried touch of beauty-all i can say is wow! I am no longer afraid of wearing mineral makeup, this is some really great makeup and the foundation covers so well, even the scars that were left behind from the other makeup. I would not trade it for anything else as not only does it cover wear but has been healing my acne and now after 1 month my acne is gone and my skin is looking allot better! i would highly recommend this to everyone, especially those of you with sensitive skin and acne.

I use quality natural products. Long before this trend of Minerals in make-up products I found Palm’Hydra Sparkling (seen on http://www.innovimport.com). It is an incredibly nourishing cream for your body AND it has Mica in it. The lovely sheen is subtle but WOW! The Bonus is that my skin is having a natural and healthy treatment at the same time. You can’t beat it!

I have to recommend Everyday Minerals, http://www.everydayminerals.com/ . Their makeup is great and contain nothing but natural ingredients. I can’t believe how long lasting their foundation is and the coverage is great too. It’s really light and makes your skin feel like silk. If you haven’t tried Everyday Minerals yet, order a free sample kit (you find it under custom kits).

It’s great quality makeup for a good price. I am totally in love!

The more natural the better – I just noticed we can post links here so Palm’Hydra Sparkling can be seen at http://www.innovimport.com/oscommerce/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=29&products_id=62
