New Year’s Resolutions!

Hi!
Did you miss me? I missed me, too! You see, I thought I was on vacation but everyone in my house was sick and then I was, so I wasn’t really on vacation. What I have now is conjunctivitis coupled with a nasty flu. And do you know why? Because my immunity is shot because I’m pretending I eat and exercise like I did before I had this child. Which I do not and therefore my body is breaking down. I am not getting any younger, if you haven’t noticed. So I decided today to do some pre-baby eating and this is what I had: A bit of broccoli soup, sauteed greens, black beans and yellow basmati rice and a green juice with ginger. Tonight for dinner, Mike made broiled Cod with parsley and sauteed tomatoes and peppers, salad and a white bean thing. My snacks were not perfect, but at least I’m eating vegetables with my meals.
Here are my prettybynature resolutions for health:
1. 5-9 vegetables a day.
2. No fried foods (Can you believe that I even eat them?)
3. No refined wheat.
4. Aerobic exercise four times a week.
5. I already slam water down, but I will get more down my cake hole.
6. Air out my house every week.
7. Change my lightbulbs to the energy saving kind.
8. Get an apron so it’s easier to cook.
9. Throw out the kid’s junky snacks.
10. Less TV. How much less? I’ll let you know after I’ve seen a few seasons of Lost, DH, 24 and The Office. But mindless flipping? No can do anymore.
11. Meditating once a day, if even for five minutes.
12. Taking on a charity project.
What are yours?

Happy New Year Kim – and welcome back. I had the flu 2 weeks ago and STILL am coughing my brains out all night long. I totally sympathize. I have been pondering my resolutions and will tell you about them later.
If I don’t procrastinate so long that I don’t make any. Ha ha ha
