Weleda Skin Foodis a rich moisturizer that is made in Germany and has been around since 1926. The Weleda trademark is: Weleda in harmony with nature and the human being. Made from a variety of plant extracts, it’s smooths, soothes, and mosiurizies the skin. It’s recommended for very dry areas like hands, feet, and elbows. It contains Pansy, Vitamin E, Organic Sunflower Seed Oil, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Calendula, Chamomile, and Sweet Almond Oil. These ingredients are well-known for their calming, soothing, anti-inflammatory, and skin renewing effects.

I used a dab on my hands and elbows. It is very rich and a little dab is all you need. My skin instantly had a younger look and feel to it, which I enjoy because my hands suffer a fair amount of wear and tear. You can really smell the Calendula. I like that scent – it has a comforting smell to it. Of course that might be the chamomile which is used frequently in aromatherapy.
Skin Food can also be used as a facial moisturizer, acne treatment, cuticle conditioner, on chapped lips, on babies or small children, on callouses, or as a protective layer on the skin to guard against weather damage.

Hi Laura. I can remember the hormones of pregnancy doing a number on my skin. If you get a chance to try it, please come back and let me know what you think.
