Organic Cocoa Butter

I come from a long line of germaphobes. Germaphobe with a hint of hypochondriac thrown in. This meant that we were not permitted to mingle with the snotty nose masses or share toys or anything that might lead to contamination. As a result I dodged all those annoying yet harmless childhood illnesses only to get them as an adult when they are neither cute nor harmless. For example, I mysteriously broke out in hives that I thought was an allergic reaction when my son was about 8 weeks old. An emergency room trip and much embarrasment later, it was quite obvious that I had the plain old chicken pox. The bug came down with it a week later and needless to say it was one of the most miserable experiences of my life.
Scratching or rather being scratched was unavoidable so we both have chicken pox scars although they are not too bad and only only the chest and back. We did religiously slather the bug with cocoa butter after every bath and I do think it made a difference. I don’t know what happened to the butter in the move and I don’t even remember what kind it was but we need some now that it’s cold. I’m eyeing Terressentials Organic Push up version mostly because it doesn’t have a bunch of extra junk and well hello, you can push it like a push pop. That to me seems so much easier to apply to a wriggling, flipping toddler. There are also no added essential oils so there is little chance of a reaction. Now I’m going to go to the park and have him lick things to build up his immune system. Seems like a good idea, right?

Cocoa Butter has to be one of the greatest smells ever! That body oil is probably fabulous.
Yeah, I can’t wait to try it!
You sound like me. I’m 34 and haven’t had the chicken pox!
