Organix – Beauty. Pure & Simple.

I really like the tag line of this organic hair care company, Organix. “Beauty. Pure & Simple.” If only that were so!

Organix was founded not only for those who choose a more organic lifestyle, but for those of us who are just starting out to learn that there is a better way to find the right products. The more natural products, using ingredients that have integrity. And from sources not normally used in more main-stream, mass marketed merchandise.

The hair care line consists of 5 different scent blends, for 5 specific hair needs. There is Coconut Milk to nourish, Vanilla Silk to soften and silken hair, Citrus Mango to help curl, Teatree Mint to hydrate, and Shea Butter to smooth hair.

organixI have been using the Citrus Mango Curling Shampoo & Conditioner for a few days now. First off, I love the scent. It is quite honestly, what you would expect. Very citrus, sweet, smelling. The shampoo makes a ton of lather, even when only using a bit as you need. The conditioner is very creamy, and you really don’t need that much as well. I leave my conditioner in as long as I can but the directions suggest 3 – 5 minutes, so try to leave it in for at least this long for optimum results.

I have noticed that my hair feels more silky, and the natural curl is much less harsh – not dry and frizzy. It must be from the citrus oil and orange blossom infused honey that makes it look so great.

I think I need to try the Scrunching Spay next. I like to have a more naturally curly look in the summer months, as I try to conserve and not use the blow-dryer every day. I think this scrunching spray will be just what I need to help in my air-dried curling effort.

Organix products can be found at Target, Duane Reade, Longs Drugs, and other national drugstores.

I have used the coconut shampoo & conditioner & I love it. It produces a lot of lather & the conditioner leaves my permed/tinted hair soft & silky.

Is there an organic hair color to cover gray? I want something close to my natural color, which is very drark brown/black? I have heard the regular color treated products are very toxic.

I bought the organix vanilla shampoo and conditioner and I was so disappointed. It was a total waste of money! It makes my hair feel like straw. It is the absolute worst product I have ever purchased. I would rather spend 99 cents for a cheap shampoo that at least leaves your hair feeling soft!
