Quick Chic: Dumpster Diving for Fashion?

I’ve loved FoundClothing for awhile. She’s gotten some really great stuff that other people have trashed. I’ve never done it, but I do like clothing swaps. Have you saved something from the trash?

I sometimes see clothes in dumpsters, take them home, wash them, and donate good ones to homeless shelters. Just found coat, gloves, sweatshirts, blouse, along with bread box and 9 kitchen knives last weekend. People throw a lot of good furniture, clothes, games, books, Nike shoes, jeans, computers, bikes, blankets, and art supplies into Dumpsters on the weekends. I like to save it from landfill and help out homeless. But must watch out for nails, broken glass, spaghetti sauce, paint, bees, and raccoons!
