Sunscreen Soap

I have a hard time getting my kids to use sunscreen. They are busy and won’t take the time or if they do put it on, they don’t apply it correctly. I can put it on them, but I’m not with them all day, and what 17-year-old kid wants his mom applying his sunscreen anyway?
Bethesda Skincare contacted me about sunscreen soap and I thought, oh wow, that is a great idea!!
And it is. Sunscreen soap? Seriously, don’t you wish you’d thought of it, because I know that I sure do.
Bethesda Sunscreen Soap has an SPF of 10 and the scent reminds me of camping, citronella-like, very fresh. It has a combination of oils – olive, lavender, rosemary. “Bethesda Sunscreen Soap contains a combination of healing and therapeutic properties that moisturizes as it protects the body from the harmful rays of the sun.”
Bethesda has something called the Melanie policy wherein people who have cancer or know someone who is suffering from cancer can receive a free bar of the soap. The Melanie Policy was created to honor Jamie Collins Doss’s sister, Melanie, who is fighting Stage 4 Cancer. The soap helps to combat the damage to the skin that chemotherapy causes.
For more information on the Melanie Policy, take a look here. You can read more about Jamie Collins Doss here. I love to read about people who are passionate about their work and I tend to trust that they make a quality product, as well.
