While I was browsing the sale e-racks of the Greenloop, I came across this colorful Anna Cohen bikini. It’s made out of factory surplus fabric. That is, it’s waste scraps from fabric used to make the uniforms of Olympic speed skaters.
Spring (and summer!) are just around the corner and I’d love to be lying in the sun in this pretty piece!
It’s currently on sale for $82.00–that’s 50% off the original price!–at the Greenloop!

Seeing as its the holidays, I’m going to indulge in some fashion that I can’t really afford this time of year! Think of it the fashion equivalent of decadent chocolate.

Portland’s Green Fashion Week
Portland Fashion Week is from October 19th-24th. This year, it will have a distinct “green theme” with events being promoted on recycled paper, and the actual shows will include a sustainable runway, sustainable makeup and hair, and sustainable hotels for guests.
Their vision is to “emphasize eco-responsible fashion, stage independent designers, and draw national attention to Portland’s unique intersection of Art, Commerce, and Sustainability.” They promise a great show with an abundance of innovation and creativity.
Featured designers include Alula, Anna Cohen, Kate Towers, Lara Miller and many more!

Green your Red Carpet Event!
This red-carpet season, the theme is “eco-friendly.” The Emmy’s’ red carpet was nixed in favor of a carpet made out of recycled pop bottles.
In the spirit of this, I thought I’d showcase some red-carpet ready and affordable dresses that are eco-friendly too!
Cowl Neck Bamboo
I love this dress. It’s classy and elegant but sexy at the same time. The bamboo jersey will cling to your curves in a way that’s forgiving, not menacing.
Made by Anna Cohen and available through BTC Elements, it’s $325.00. The back is as daring as the front, so shy chicks (and chicks without double-sided tape!) need not …read more
