Chamomile Skin Softening Salt Soak

I really had to share with you my latest Etsy find. It’s another salt soak. Yes, I know it’s a problem but hear me out. You can take bath salts anywhere and they solve so many problems. Tired? Take a lovely bath honey. Aching muscles? Stressed? Take a bath. They’re oh so helpful. Etsy seller Heathen’s Hearth has a bevy of salts and scrubs but the Chamomile Salt Soak is the one I must have. It’s a mixture of different salts and well Chamomile so it’s pretty straight forward. You could certainly make something like this yourself at home.

Holiday Gift Sets from Pangea Organics

So we’re coming down the home stretch here so I hope everyone is done or almost done shopping. If not I thought you might like to know about the great gift sets from Pangea Organics. Now I already love their soaps so I may be biased but I think you can’t go wrong with this gift. You won’t even have to wrap it. The box itself is compostable, biodegradable and it can be planted since it contains seeds from a Spruce Tree. Awesome? Um…yeah. They have three sets “Joy”, “Harmony” and “Peace”. “Peace” looks like the winner to me because …read more

Jo Wood Organics Body Dew

What is body dew you ask? Well I have to tell you I’m not quite sure. I think it’s somewhere between a mist and a splash of fragrance. I’ve wanted to try some of Jo Wood’s fragrances for a while but to be honest the prices are quite dear and I didn’t want to waste it if I didn’t like it. I really have to wear a scent all day in my normal atmosphere in order to be sure if I like it or not. The artificial surroundings of a store will just not cut it. So I picked this up …read more

Home Spa Treatments

Check out this article over at Planet Green for more home beauty treatments. This one involves a lovely salt scrub and a warm milk bath. Sounds inviting. Throw some honey and/or essential oils in that puppy and you’re golden. Add a glass of wine to the mix and you will have reached nirvana. It’s cheap, it’s green and you’ll love it.

Arnica Muscle Rub

I’ve been hitting the gym pretty hard the past few weeks and my body is certainly paying the price. We’re out of Tiger Balm so I went looking for something on Etsy and found Faerie Made Soap’s Arnica Muscle Rub with Menthol. It’s made with Arnica Flowers, olive oil, shea butter, beeswax, cocoa butter and essential oils. Arnica has been used forever in liniments and ointments so it’s probably a safe bet. I also like that it comes in a stick form so I can just rub it where I need to and not get it all over my hands …read more

Cucumber Aloe Hair Oil

I am a huge fan of weekly deep conditioning treatments for your hair. I’ve used masks and oils and I find that the oils are especially good for when it’s cold outside and dry and warm inside. This month’s Lucky magazine has a little blurb about Wen’s Cucumber Aloe Hair and Body oil. I actually tried his hair and body oil out last year (the Sweet Almond Mint) and I absolutely loved it. It’s basically just jojoba oil and essential oils which you could obviously do yourself and stick it in a pretty glass bottle. You can get those bottles …read more

Home Sweet Home

Just in time for the Holidays, The Bubble Roome has an awesome new 3-in-1 spray. You can use it as a linen spray, room spary or for your body. It has sweet orange essential oil, vanilla, cloves and more very fall/winter scents. This would be a great gift for a party host or a nice stocking stuffer. I most surely would spray it all over my linen closet. Or spray this around when you have guests coming and they will be impressed and wonder what you’ve been cooking.

Eco-Friendly Feminine Care

So I know we talked about this already : the issue of greener alternatives to feminine hygiene products. Grist however goes into great detail here. It’s part one of a two part look at disposable and reusable options. I would highly reccomend taking a look at it if you’re still on the fence about these products. I did try the Diva Cup and some reusable pantyliners a few months ago with mixed results. The pantyliners are fantastic and so much more comfortable than standard disposables. I just rinse them out and throw them in the wash and I haven’t had …read more

Organic Mint Shower Gel

Organic Mint Shower Gel

I love discovering new product lines because it opens up a whole new world. Well, more like a whole new place for me to spend money. I heard about Patyka this week and now unfortunately I see many things that I must have. Top of the list is their mint shower gel. Their products are certified organic by ECOCERT and contain no parabens, silicone or petroleum. The Eucalyptus Massage Oil also looks pretty nice. I may get that one for the hubs. Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think.

New Products From Kiss My Face

Kiss My Face just launched their new lip and skincare line and TreeHugger gives you a rundown of the new products and the party. Great, cause dude I totally want to know who catered the party and if the canapés were organic. Question? Was the waitstaff clad in bamboo trousers with cork clogs? Anyway snark aside, they have some new sheer organic shine lip glosses that sound pretty nifty. I wasn’t able to find it on their website but then again I didn’t look that hard.
What did catch my eye was their new kids line, Kiss My Face Kids (natch). Kiss My …read more
