Newness from Carol’s Daughter.

If you are a regular Pretty by Nature reader, you may remember that I really love the Carol’s Daughter line. I am thrilled that she is growing the line as she is launching a lipgloss. The gloss is named Candy Paint Lip Gloss.

Candy Paint delivers color and intense shine while hydrating, moisturizing, and protecting the lips with things we love, like shea butter, aloe vera, and vitamin E. And with things we don’t want in our products, as these glosses are Paraben, mineral oil, and petroleum free.
In a full range of twelve shades, there is definitely more than one calling …read more

The Botanical Beauty of Mario Badescu.

I did not know that many of the Mario Badescu line of skin care products were botanically based. You have heard of the famed acne Drying Lotion from Mario Badescu, haven’t you?
In searching his site, I am really tempted to order this kit for my sister. I have dry skin, but hers is combination, more toward the oily side. She wants to be introduced to some different type of natural products, and I thought this kit would be a great one for her to start with.
It is the Botanical Beauty Basics Kit, for $82.00.
In the kit are the following:

The Natural Ingredient Low-Down!

I often wonder where these natural ingredients come from, and why they are used in products. I have been doing some research, and have found the following information for the most popular ingredients used in natural beauty products, and what their purpose in the product is.
Glycerin, often found in soaps and cleansers, is made from vegetable oil, and is used for cleansing.
Vitamin E is from the Soybean, and is used for conditioning and moisturizing.
Jojoba Oil comes from Jojoba seeds and is used for moisturizing.
Olive Oil comes from Olives, and is also used for moisturizing.
Rosemary extract is used as a preservative …read more

Gifts of Botanical Beauty.

The Spring gifting season is upon us. We have Mother’s day in about a month. Then there are the numerous, wedding, bridal showers, and graduations. And when I gift, I give the gift of beauty, of course.
I was just looking over the Crabtree & Evelyn Naturals Products. The products in their naturals collection are made from botanical ingredients.
I have my eye on this lovely set of 5 body bars. In this Botanical Body Bar Collection are the following bars: 1 Cocoa Butter, Nutmeg & Cardamom, 1 Green Tea, Vetiver & Sandalwood, 1 Mango Butter & Cranberry, 1 Mint, Fennel & …read more

Like Buttah!

I am so in love with Bath by Bettijo’s Whipped Shea Butter in the Lemon Almond scent.
The butter melts on my skin, while leaving it feeling nourished and soft.
And I am so glad Bettijo decided to offer this in a larger 8 oz. size!
I have a tub of it in my nightstand, and use it on my hands immediately before I go to bed. It helps me wake up with butter-soft hands…like the ones I was born with many years ago.
Bath by Bettijo’s Whipped Shea Butter is available in 2 sizes (2 oz for $16.50 & 8 oz …read more

A Slimming Breakthrough!

Yves Rocher, the World leader in Botanical Beauty Care, is launching an intensive treatment that works to treat cellulite. Lipophenol Vegetal, is the name of this cellulite intervention.
Let’s face it, cellulite is a concern for almost all of us. It is commonly found on our stomach, buttocks, and thighs. What are these bumps caused from? These bumps are due to the presence of fat-storing cells, called adipocytes, that can be found under the skin. These cells can expand up to 50 times their volume, resulting in the irregular texture.
