Mom and I were shopping at Costco this weekend and we found these Kirkland by Borghese Mineral Makeup kits for $24.99. I went back and forth…get it, don’t get it, get it, don’t get it, but honestly how could I pass it up? So, I didn’t. The kit includes a foundation, a bronzer, 3 eye shadows, an eyeliner, and 4 brushes.

I’ve been using mineral makeup for 2 years now. I’ve tried many brands and I can honestly say that my least favorite brand of mineral makeup is still 10 times better than the best traditional foundation that I’ve tried. I prefer the lighter feeling of mineral makeup on my skin. I think it’s infinitely preferable to all the foundation I wore as a teen, trying to cover my acne-prone skin. That stuff was heavy and uncomfortable and felt like a mask. Yuck.
