Going green is an idea that is moving beyond the “hippie” label and into the mainstream, as well as the world of high fashion. AnneMarie Iverson, from Harper’s Bazaar, shares that green companies like Aveda and Pure & Natural showed an increased presence and involvement in events during New York Fashion Week.

Keds Green Label Sneakers

Back in March, I had the opportunity to give away a pair of Keds Green Label sneakers. At that time, I was supposed to get a pair to test and review, but they never arrived. Well guess what? UPS brought them to me today.
I was a big Keds girl back in the day. I would keep 2 pair in constant rotation so that I always had a clean white pair available. I had this trick were I’d soak one pair in a sink of bleach and water. Eventually they’d disintegrate, as you might expect.

Going Green The Right Way

Yesterday I attended the GreenTOpia book launch in Toronto (a great book, by the way, for any other Torontoians out there reading). There was a panel of eco-experts talking about various environmental issues that are of particular interest to Toronto, when an interesting thing happened. A man in the audience called the panel on their lesser green actions and demanded more of them.
