Burt’s Bees realize that consumers are very confused about this and to what exactly constitutes a “natural” product. So, they are Setting The Natural Standard. This will be a definition about what is and isn’t natural that they hope, by working directly with competitors and the industry at large, will clear up all this confusion while holding “natural” to the highest possible standard.

The following is what Burt’s Bees has set as their natural standard, and are hoping that other companies join in and adopt these policies with them. They are developing a seal as well, that can be used on products so consumers know that these products comply with the standard that they have set.

Products will:
• Be made with at least 95% truly natural ingredients
• Contain no ingredients with any potential suspected human health risks
• Use no processes that significantly or adversely alter the purity/effect of the natural ingredients

Drew Barrymore couldn’t be more fresh faced and radiant, don’t you think? It is no wonder Cover Girl just signed her as their new model. Too cute! She is 32 years old, but looks not a day over 21 in her more natural state, if you ask me.

Eva Longoria is obviously naturally gorgeous with her soft features. But I do like her made up to be not so “even toned” and clean looking. She is a sexy woman, and I think her makeup needs to match her sexier attitude. Eva is also 32, but I think she looks more her age without makeup.

Being totally interested, she mixed up a small batch and we used it on our hands, but she swears it is the best facial mask she has ever used.

To make this mask, simply take a banana, ripe or over-ripe, peel it, and mash it up in a bowl. Then add granulated sugar stirring it to a medium consistency. Next, add a drop or two of almond or vanilla extract (sure to be in your kitchen cupboard) and keep mixing.

It almost feels like an exfoliant scrub when applied, but by mixing it around and into the skin, it adds much moisture while gently buffing away dead skin. As always, use common sense and keep the mask/mixture away from your eyes.

As I said, I only used it on my hands that time, and they were extremely smooth after I used it. I was so happy with the smooth results that I did not need my normal night time hand cream treatment that evening.
