So after only a few days in, I have abandoned the raw cause. I just like cooked food too much. My obsession with “greening” my family has extended to the food we eat and I really enjoy it as well. We all know getting enough of the right kinds of foods in our diet is vitally important to our health and appearance. It doesn’t have to cost a lot and you don’t have to use super fancy ingredients. So we are about halfway through our box o’ goodness from our local natural foods store and we are hooked. In our inaugural box we received: 5 bananas, 3 white onions, 6 Russet potatoes, two bunches of kale and spinach, 3 kiwis, 4 mini Pink Lady apples, a bag of golden carrots and two grapefruits *panting*. It’s funny when you are a kid you think that your parents have the answer to everything and will always make it okay. Then when you become an adult you have a lightbulb moment and realize that they, like you, didn’t know what they heck they were doing and were just winging it.
