The Prettiest of Shades…

One of my favorite natural and organic lines, von Natur, has a beautiful line of Mineral Makeup. In this line of Mineral Makeup, von Natur has products such as eye colour, concealer, powder foundation, liquid foundation, cheek colour, face & body shimmer, lip shimmer, lip colour, lip stain and mascara.
von Natur’s mineral cosmetics are all talc-free, fragrance-free, cruelty-free and non-comedogenic. The makeup is created with micronized natural minerals, not only allowing the skin to breathe, but it gives long lasting coverage with a flawless look.
The eye colour range is outstanding. There are 36 shades in the line-up. And they …read more

For the Mommy-to-Be!

Our lovely Miss Shannon from Makeup Minute is due to deliver her 4th child any second now. And it got me thinking about how many new natural and organic sites are concentrating on baby care, and entering into the market of pregnancy care.
Erbaviva has a multitude of products for just this. Check out these luxurious organic gift sets, just for the Mommy-to-Be.

Like Buttah!

I am so in love with Bath by Bettijo’s Whipped Shea Butter in the Lemon Almond scent.
The butter melts on my skin, while leaving it feeling nourished and soft.
And I am so glad Bettijo decided to offer this in a larger 8 oz. size!
I have a tub of it in my nightstand, and use it on my hands immediately before I go to bed. It helps me wake up with butter-soft hands…like the ones I was born with many years ago.
Bath by Bettijo’s Whipped Shea Butter is available in 2 sizes (2 oz for $16.50 & 8 oz …read more

Organic Spa – a New Magazine.

Organic Spa – a New Magazine.

Health is on everyone’s mind. And by everyone, I mean everyone including advertisers and magazines. There are a bevy of magazines related to health issues, and one just launched in January, that is geared towards the Organic health-minded. It is called Organic Spa.
Organic Spa Magazine is not just a spa or travel magazine, it is a quarterly lifestyle magazine about how to fulfill your life through an organic spa lifestyle through the combination of health, wellness, and living organically.
The premier issue will show you how to live green, slow down, breathe better, eat well, travel consciously, and take time out …read more

The Father of Natural Hair Care.

The Father of Natural Hair Care.

One of the first Organic products lines I tried was from Aubrey Organics. It was a shampoo made especially for swimmers called Normalizing Shampoo.
You see, I was having an awful time combing my daughters hair in the summer. Everyday throughout the summer. After getting out of the pool, the ocean, or even just the bath tub. Her hair was so dry and brittle. That is when I started searching and found this shampoo. It did the trick. I loved the clean smell, and how it almost immediately turned her hair from dry to soft. And I swear that this …read more

Kiss My What?

Oops – I meant to say Kiss My Face . Really, I am looking to try some great new products from Kiss My Face.
Kiss My Face was launched in a farmers feed-supply store in upstate New York 25 years ago. It has grown way beyond the pure olive-oil bar soap (which is to this day a top seller) it originally began with.
The line is famous for its Certified Organic Aloe Vera Toothpaste, Sugar Reef Organic Body Scrub and Lavender & Shea Moisture Shave. I don’t know what I should try.
It’s top sellers:
Sun Screen SPF18 with Oat Protein Complex
Sun Spray …read more

Coming Clean.

I just read a great article from the Organic Consumers Association by Lacey Phillabaum. It is about personal care products and how most of the personal care companies do not yet comply with the National Organic Program.
I found this information very useful and interesting. What do you think?

Clarins Going Organic?

Clarins Going Organic?

I just read something that Clarins (the French Cosmetic company) is going Organic? I cannot find out any more information on this except for the fact that they are joining in a venture with Kibio, a direct selling brand.
I wonder if they are making a division of Clarins Organic, or will all of their products be certified Organic now? Or are they creating a new line all together? I know that they use a lot of herbal and plant-based ingredients, but they will need to do more to make sure they are Organic.
If any one has the scoop, please do …read more

Not Just Your Simple Bar of Soap.

With all of the liquid soaps, gels, foams, and washes, I sometimes forget how much I love a simple bar of soap. I have been using a few wonderful soap bars – but they are not simple in the least. I am speaking of Pangea Organics Bar Soaps.
Each of Pangea Organic bars of soap is cold processed by hand, and custom blended with some of the best ingredients there are. And the cold process means that the benefits of such wonderful ingredients are not wasted by being boiled off.
There are 12 different bars to choose from:
AUSTRALIAN TEA TREE & LAVENDER
PYRENEES …read more
