Clothes Storage: What’s Greener?

I’m in the middle of a move right now. Everyone loves sleeping on the floor for a few weeks, right?

I just found a new apartment, so now I’m debating how to store all my clothes. I had a big walk-in before, but now my closet is a little smaller.

Plastic hangars are a no-no. They look bad, and they hurt your clothes. I’ve used wood before, but I worry about all the trees used to make the hangars.

The new velvet hangars are great, but I’m not really sure what they’re made of. I’ve used the eco-hangars before (the ones made of cardboard) but they don’t move in a closet very easily.

So what’s the best? Any ideas?

I’m pretty big about packaging and shipping, but I’m also aware that lots of companies are greenwashing (pretending to be green when they are not).

More recycled materials are great, but I always thought most shipping boxes were at least partially made from recycled materials anymore.

Does that make this Rapunzel’s honest effort to be green or just greenwashing? What do you think?
