I’d save a post like this for my weekly link round-up on Fridays, but this dress made me squeal so loudly, I couldn’t help but post about it now!
This dress is by Nina Valteni for Nature vs. Future. It’s made out of juice pouches!
It was made specially for pianist Soyeon Lee, who will wear it at an eco-themed performance called “Re!Invented” at Carnegie Hall.
It’s a gorgeous dress, sophisticated and futuristic.

Deborah Lindquist is one of Los Angeles’ hottest high fashion eco-designers. She uses such eco-friendly fabrics like recycled cashmere, repurposed kimonos and saris, vintage fabrics, hemp, bamboo, organic cotton and organic wool.
Her clothing is playful and beautiful. I’d wear ‘em everywhere, if I could.
Dress the short ones down with cute flats and a big bag for a Saturday, or some heels and a cute wrap for a fun evening out. It depends on the dress (see the variety below!) and the activity at hand.
However, it’s also expeeeeeeeeeeensive. As in, if I buy her clothes today, there goes groceries for the …read more

Prince Charles has been gaining quite the reputation as an eco-activist. He’s been working on an eco-bed & breakfast, promoted hybrid vehicles and has been seen at many green events.
Here, he takes his green-loving ways one step further: he’s wearing them. Below, are two pictures of Charles and wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles. The pictures were taken two weeks apart at two different events.
I know wearing the same outfit twice isn’t really all that green. I do it all the time. I have one staple wedding outfit, one staple funeral outfit and everyone has seen them several times.
However, it’s different when celebrities …read more

One of my favorite eco-companies is expanding! Bazura, the Canadian company that brought you those juice-label bags, announced plans for another eco-friendly line.
The new line will be made out of retired advertising banners collected in Vietnam. Local women working in a co-operative make the bags. The line, called “Banner Bags” is already causing quite the stir, according to Fashion Monitor Toronto! Each bag will be brightly colored and completely unique, not unlike the juice-label line!
The bags will cost between $10.95 to $39.95. Pretty affordable, eh?
You can order their bags online or find a retailer near you at their website, BazuraShop. …read more

My boyfriend, Matt, has been on a serious prowl for the perfect man bag, ever since Jim on The Office carried one to practical perfection. As hard as he is trying, he keeps coming up short. They are either too expensive, too girly, or too impractical.
A man bag is a delicate thing. You need to find the perfect balance between masculinity and function. And, if you’re like me, and want an eco-twist on everything you wear, the process can become much more arduous.
In order to make this process a little easier, here I present to you, a few green man …read more
