In writing Pretty By Nature, I tend to focus a lot on skin care. To me, that’s the basis of beauty and health – healthy skin. I talk to family and friends about skin care all the time and sometimes I’m able to pass along products that I’ve tried that will help a friend with a particular skin concern, for example, an eye cream. Once, I was able to set Mom up with an entire 3 step regime. (I also like to earn Good Daughter Points).
Something that I may not have mentioned before is that I’m a Certified Massage Therapist. …read more

My daughter, Bailey, and I have had the opportunity to try the Mannatech Optimal Skin Care System for the past two weeks.
Bailey is 16 and like most teenagers, she has trouble with break-outs. The products she has used in the past have made her sensitive skin red and dry. I’ve talked to her about the importance of moisture, that the skin needs it to heal the blemishes, but I’m Mom, what do I know? Now, after using the Optimal system, she really seems to be getting it and the proof is in her complexion. She has fewer breakouts and the …read more

I’m staying at my sister’s house for the weekend and the wind is blowing like crazy here. Warnings are running across the top of the television telling people to “tie down lawn ornaments,” and watch out for falling tree limbs.
We were out there, not 45 minutes ago, and I was taking pictures of the kids shooting baskets, wrestling on the grass, skipping – just good old get your wiggles out fun. Now we are indoors and it feels like all the moisture has been sucked clear out of my skin. I need a good moisturizer. Something like Signature Natural’s Herbal …read more

Beauty begins on the inside, right? We’ve all heard that and I do my best to eat a healthy diet, full of fresh foods. I try to include lots of colorful vegetables and fruits, which is easier for me to do than many people, this time of the year, because I live in California. When that gets tough (or expensive), I turn to supplements, but I don’t want to put a bunch of chemicals in my body either.
A better solution? Agro Labs, has a line of natural liquid supplements that are easy to fit into a busy lifestyle.

Special Offer From Estee Lauder – Free Mineral Makeup

I’ve been using mineral makeup for 2 years now. I’ve tried many brands and I can honestly say that my least favorite brand of mineral makeup is still 10 times better than the best traditional foundation that I’ve tried. I prefer the lighter feeling of mineral makeup on my skin. I think it’s infinitely preferable to all the foundation I wore as a teen, trying to cover my acne-prone skin. That stuff was heavy and uncomfortable and felt like a mask. Yuck.
Estee Lauder’s new mineral makeup called Nutritious is infused with minerals, vitamins, and pomegranate. It’s available in a loose …read more

One of the easiest and most natural ways to look good on the outside is to fill the body with key foods and beverages on the inside. Many women forget that their daily diet can play just as large a role in contributing to smooth, youthful-looking skin as expensive beauty treatments or products.
Infusing grapefruit into your diet, along with following a balanced lifestyle can keep you looking lovely:
· Watch your waistline.
If you’re trying to maintain a healthy weight, consume fruits and vegetables with high water content, like grapefruit to feel satisfied. One-half …read more
