I have a bit of a crush on Blake Mycoskie, of Tom’s Shoes. Tom’s Shoes give away one pair of shoes for every pair that they sell. Seriously – one for one. Wow.
It all began back in 2006 when Blake met some shoeless kids in Argentina. Did you know that in developing countries use walking as their primary way of getting were they need to go? The problem with going shoeless is that their feet get hurt from all that barefoot walking and when that happens, it leaves them vulnerable to disease.

Green Things I Love: Tom’s Shoes
I love my Tom’s Shoes.
Love them. I got them about a month ago, because I needed some new flats to tromp around in this summer. They were about $45 at my local shop and you can get them cheaper online.
So here is the deal with Tom’s Shoes. For every pair of shoes you buy, a pair of shoes will go to a needy child elsewhere in the world. So really, you’re buying two pairs of shoes. Great cause. So far 200,000 shoes have ben donated in 2008.
