I found this while shopping around at Etsy today. It’s the amate top, from the zelaya shop. It’s a raw edge top made of stretchy organic cotton knit, it has a scoop neckline with a low back that’s decorated with an interwoven leaf pattern. It’s available in XS, S, M, or L in black, brown, or natural.

Here are a few more lovely items from the zelaya shop……..

The pebbles also features raw edges and coiled flower-like appliques. It’s available in the same colors, organic cotton, and sizes as the amate top.
manzanilla handbag

The manzanilla handbag measures 17 inches in length, 11 inches in height, and it’s 2 inches wide. It’s made of raw cotton fabric in it’s natural color. The bag has a polka dot design embroidered on the front designed with thread that was dyed with chamomile tea. It has a wooden handle.
You can find more zelaya items here. All items are unique and handmade.

Get into the librarian or secretary look with this top by Passenger Pigeon.
It’s made out of organic cotton and hemp and was sewn and produced in Canada, where Passenger Pigeon is located.
I like the simple elegance of the top. It’ll be great for a work top and would easily carry into a after-work drinks atmosphere. It’s so amazing how a simple bow can transform a top.
$82
Protect the Element Puff Sleeve Top

This is a tad pricey for me, but I love the design.
It’s a bamboo top by Protect the Element with pretty puff sleeves and a drawstring at the neckline. It’s a good mix of dressy and casual in one of my favorite fabrics.

Another simple wardrobe staple, this Spun top is part of their latest collection of great everyday organic wear.
The dyes are safe and non-toxic, so anything you get from spun is going to be a comfortable perennial in your closet. This is the first collection released by designer Sara Seumae and is meant to be the foundation for continuing collections.
Spun is a great line to keep an eye on.

More recycled clothing for you.
Supayana is the designer that won last years Next Big Thing, a great contest run by indie clothiers Fred Flare. Everything produced by supayana is fantastic.
This reconstructed plaid shirt hits my plaid soft spot. The flutter top was a men’s button-up in a former life, but now is a great top wit ha funnel neck. This funnel neck thing is going to be even bigger this fall, I tell you.
This should fit a small or medium.
