Vegan Chic, one of PETA’s Business Friends, has a wide variety of non-leather, vegan shoes listed at reduced sale prices. These include dressy shoes, slippers, and my personal favorite – sandals.
I like these cute metallic pleather sandals with a jeweled charm on top. They are casual, but just a step up with the metallic finish and sparkly charm. Perfect for wearing with a sundress.
The footbed is cushioned, it has a textured bottom for traction on wet surfaces, and a low, stacked heel. These adorable sandals are available in a brown metallic, a gold metallic, and a torquoise blue metallic.

If you are a vegan looking for some shopping advice, PETA has a pagethat lists favorite shops, links for how-tos, etc. That’s where I found a link to Ahimsa Footwear – a good source of vegan shoes, bags, belts, and wallets.
Then, I found this bag……

Tom’s Shoes

I have a bit of a crush on Blake Mycoskie, of Tom’s Shoes. Tom’s Shoes give away one pair of shoes for every pair that they sell. Seriously – one for one. Wow.
It all began back in 2006 when Blake met some shoeless kids in Argentina. Did you know that in developing countries use walking as their primary way of getting were they need to go? The problem with going shoeless is that their feet get hurt from all that barefoot walking and when that happens, it leaves them vulnerable to disease.
Wearing shoes prevents feet from getting cuts and …read more

I am tired of all my stuff. All my shoes, all my skirts, all my everything. I’ve lost a little weight…..It’s time to go shopping.
I love dresses. I like the ease of a one-piece number, slip it on, and I’m ready. This Beau Soleil Beau Troy Dress is made of 100% Bamboo fabric.
Bamboo, as you know is a sustainable material, so this dress is eco-friendly, in addition to being chic and sexy. I love the deep V front and the asymmetrical hemline. It retails for $250 and if you preorder it by 4/30/09, you can save 20%. Use the code …read more

One of the hottest color trends for Spring 2009 is a sunny lemon yellow. I’ve been window-shopping for vegan shoes and here are a couple fun examples of this chic Spring color.

If you’ve read this blog recently, you know how much I love the gladiator sandal trend. (I’m lame and fickle like that when it comes to fashion). Luckily, Steve Madden has come out with an affordable vegan style!
Alternative Outfitters suggests pairing it with a draped white dress. But these puppies can be paired with anything. Romantic, urban, you name it.
They are available in black or brown and can be yours for $47.95.

I forgot about Natalie Portman’s new side gig as a shoe designer, but thankfully Ecorazzi reminded me!
Natalie’s line of vegan shoes are now available at Te Casan!
To be honest, the collection isn’t anything special. They are normal, stylish, animal-free shoes. However, it looks like it’s going to be popular, because several styles are already sold out on pre-order!
To see all the styles or to place your own order, head over to Te Casan now.
And don’t forget to check out photos of the launch at the NYC boutique at Just Jared!

I love flats. They are classy and cute and can add any punch to your wardrobe all while causing very little pain!
The warm color palette by these vegan pairs by Salya make them a sophisticated choice, but the color blocking makes them fun and funky! I especially like the gold piping detail!
You can get them in either olive (bottom) or brown (top) for $45.00 from Alternative Outfitters.
T-Strap Vegan Pumps by Steve Madden

These sexy shoes combine two trends–the t-strap and the peeptoe–to bring you class and elegance. These shoes are made out of patent pleather, meaning they are nice to animals but not-so-nice to the environment.
I’d wear these on a date with a flirty dress or to the office with a pencil skirt when I wanted to dress to impress. I love getting dressed up for work, but sometimes it’s not so practical!
You can get your pair for $44.95 from Alternative Outfitters. They come in brown (pictured) and black.
