Where do you stand on the issue of faux fur?

I will admit that I am not a fan of certain types of faux fur. I can’t explain exactly why, but wearing anything that is supposed to look like pony fur, for example, feels wrong to me personally. (Ponies? What’s next? Faux puppy skin? Ick.).
Vegan, but not necessarily eco-friendly, faux fur is traditionally made …read more

Etsy weekend…..Today I have some beautiful vintage clothing from JessJamesJake. The fun of dressing in vintage clothing comes from the thrill of the hunt, locating that perfect treasure.
A lovely white 1950’s silk slip. They are calling it a Slip Dress. It’s a vintage size 36 with a lace top, sheer net underlay, an empire waist, and a short lace-trimmed skirt. It was manufactured by Fortrel & Fybrite.
How about a fabulous Mod dress in navy and cream, circa 1960s. Simple style, it features an interesting button detail on the sides. This dress makes me think Sexy Stewardess. Best fit for sizes …read more

It stormed today in Toronto! The first snow day of the year. Unfortunately, it wasn’t light, fluffy, pretty snow but that slushy gross stuff. I’m sure I would have enjoyed it more if I had one of these cute hats by ekoChic.
They are made out of recycled vintage cashmere sweaters. I love the bright color combinations and their wide variety of choices.
You can get your own for $38.00 by clicking here.
