I did not know that many of the Mario Badescu line of skin care products were botanically based. You have heard of the famed acne Drying Lotion from Mario Badescu, haven’t you?
In searching his site, I am really tempted to order this kit for my sister. I have dry skin, but hers is combination, more toward the oily side. She wants to be introduced to some different type of natural products, and I thought this kit would be a great one for her to start with.
It is the Botanical Beauty Basics Kit, for $82.00.
In the kit are the following:
8 oz. Botanical Facial Gel
8 oz. Special Cucumber Cleansing Lotion
2 oz. Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 17
2 oz. Flower & Tonic Mask
4 oz. Kiwi Scrub

I’m an avid fan of Mario Badescu’s line – there are some real “star” products. My faves are the Soothing & Healing Mask and the Super Rich Olive Body Lotion.
I actually just ordered that drying lotion for my son. He is 15, and has really not had an acne problem. But he has had a pimple pop up on his back now and then, and he is so afraid of breaking out. I am sure this lotion will heal up the little ones he gets.
My mother is a flight attendent, she met Mario Badescu on one of her flights. They got to taking, she had no idea who he was nor had she heard of his line. A couple of weeks later she recieved a package of full sized products as a gift for her to try. She loves the products and hightly reccomends them. I think that it is amazing that he took the time to touch her life in that way.

I sell Mario Badescu at my store, and they really are amazing. They’ve been around for 40 years, and are still family owned – really ethical company that I love working with. Their products are amazing, especially for the price. My faves (esp. for your sister, who’s combo/oily): flower and tonic mask, special hand cream w/vitamin e (i can’t EVEN begin to explain how magical this one is)… those are my 2 fave products hands down.
