Here’s something new by Philosophy: The Supernatural.

I love the application, it’s sort of a velour puff that fits over the outside, but they are replaceable for $3 if they get too skeevy. I have never seen an applicator like this. It’s almost a perfect conception. You just rub it all around your face while you look into the cap (stroke of genius!), and voila! Perfect face. It’s interesting marketing that they say it’s like airbrushing: it is and it’s not. Airbrushing has a matte, mask-like finish and this has a natural skin finish. The coverage is pretty nice, though. They have a basic range of colors; and at least they include women of color, which garners them a gold star in my book for thinking about everybody. The active ingredient is titanium dioxide which will offer you an SPF 15 and it’s talc-free which is great. How does it look? It covers the red on the side of my nose but, despite its claims, does not cover my five-nights-in-a-row-up-with-screaming-kid-who-has-ear-infection-but-will-not-take-medicine black circles under my eyes, but nothing covers them these days, so maybe it’s not a fair playing ground. If you are a mom, a mom with an outside job, a working woman, a teenager that likes cool packaging, someone looking for a foundation with SPF and someone who likes to look great in two seconds, this product is for you. $35 Sephora.
