You did a 180 on Bush’s previous disapproval of states setting harsher emissions requirements. Now, 14 states are able to crack down on emissions.

California’s waiver would have required carmakers to slash vehicle emissions by almost a third by 2016 (increasing the fuel efficiency of the car and light truck fleet to 36 mpg), 4 years ahead of the federal deadline; it was meant to take effect in the 2009 model year.

I quit using Teflon about a year ago and switched to cast iron, but for some things, non-stick is needed. I’ve looked into GreenPan, a supposed safe Teflon alternative before, but this is the best article I’ve seen on it yet.

Finally, after tons of prodding, Brita is going to recycle the filters from their pitchers.

It seems ridiculous that people had to sign a petition, make videos and more just to get a company to recycle, but I suppose recycling is expensive.
