During a day of thanks, I thought I’d say that I’m thankful for all my wonderful readers and the fantastic community I’m involved in. You all make it all worth it.

Chic News: Brita’s Going to Recycle!
Finally, after tons of prodding, Brita is going to recycle the filters from their pitchers.
It seems ridiculous that people had to sign a petition, make videos and more just to get a company to recycle, but I suppose recycling is expensive.
The program is going to start in January and you can donate old filters by taking them to Whole Foods or sending them in. Read the full details Buy:in the press release (PDF).

Chic News: Amazon Gets Greener
Amazon has recently introduced “Frustration-Free Packaging.”
That sounds lame, but what it means is that the gigantic company will send fewer boxes when you order something. It’s a step toward no more boxes in boxes. On top of that, all that irritating plastic around toys and such will be removed.

Chic News: Nau is Back

Guess what? Nau announced their untimely demise a little too early.
They’ve been backed up and bought by Horny Toad, who is going to continue the Nau vision.
They’ll make an official release tomorrow, and the whole fall line will go up for sale. Until then, check out some of the pieces they’ve come up with for fall. It’s exactly what I hoped for and more.
