Popmomo. I love that name. I can’t read it or say it without it bringing a smile to my face. The name stands for post-postmodern movement. Here are a couple of men’s tees from Popomomo.
Redwood Temple Tee

Redwood tree as eco-warrior? Interesting, whatever it is. This natural-colored, organic cotton tee is available in a men’s size small to extra-large.
The productof an artful collaboration between Popomomo and Isis Aquarian of The Source (a Hollywood-based spiritual “family” that began in the late Sixties). Peace-promoting and thought-provoking….
Okay, so maybe not warrior-ish. Do you have any ideas?

Green Company: Green Diva Jewelry

My favorite style of earrings is a hoop. I can still remember my very first pair of little gold hoops, when I was 11. This pair of silver hoops was made by the Green Diva Jewelry company out of hammered, recycled silver. The hammered texture gives the timeless classic hoop a “…bit of an edge.” They are 2.5 inches in diameter.

Fashion Trend: High Waistlines
September 12, 2009 by Michelle Smith

After years of low-cut pants and skirts, a higher waistline is making a comeback. Sometimes the look can be awkward. For example, remember Jessica Simpson in the high-waisted pants? So many comments were made about her weight, but I think her weight was fine. She was just wearing a very unflattering pair of pants.
A skirt is a much easier way to wear the high-waist look. There’s no awkward fit through the crotch and the skirt makes the body look longer and leaner than a pair of high-waisted pants.

Vaute Couture is a small fashion house that specializes in vegan clothing. They have a line of gorgeous coats made out of recycled materials. I especially love the Luxe coat. The design was inspired by the art of Brooke Hagle.
The Luxe is available in Black, Blue, Ivory, and Gray. It has a gorgeous feminine shape, an assymetrical collar, full sleeves, and a pleated coat “skirt.” This is a warm coat that flatters, rather than hides the female figure.

Eco-friendly designer, Linda Wong, founded Canopy Verde in the Fall of 2008. Her experience at both Cole Haan and Fila taught her the basics of bag design and after managing accessories at Fila for 7 seasons, she decided that she was ready to branch out on her own.
Wong is very particular about every aspect of bag construction.
“In creating Canopy Verde, I wanted to be very thoughtful about any component that was put into the bag as well as the construction methods,” she explains. “Special attention was paid to everything down to the lining and the dyeing process.”

Etsy weekend shopping…. I found an interesting interview with jewelry designing sisters, Courtney Spivak and Christina Spivak, whose shop White Owl carries lovely jewelry made from vintage items like reclaimed crochet pieces, lace, or metals.
The sisters are creative by influence and choice – their interview says that they are “from a family of artists…” Courtney Spivak teaches communications at the college level, makes short independent films, and is also a musician. Christina Spivak is a stylist and commercial photographer. She’s worked in both independent and Hollywood film. The sisters began by selling their pieces in craft fairs and now their work …read more

Today I followed a link from this gorgeous little 100% silk Daisy Bra. It is totally unsuitable for a woman built like I am, but so very pretty. Each bra is made to order, styled after a lovely flower. Just so beautiful….
Then, I found something perfect for Pretty By Nature – an organic bamboo jersey t-shirt – the knickers are also available.

A new green bra is in the works… Daisy Green Magazine, a British online “ethical” women’s magazine, is partnering with Enamore, an eco-lingerie company, to design and produce a “best ever” ethical bra. By “ethical,” they mean sustainable materials, low carbon footprint production, no sweatshops, as gentle as possible on the environment.
The bra is going to be designed for the fuller bust – C and D cup. The founder of Enamore, Jennifer Ambrose, says the bra will be “beautiful” and “comfortable” – a better choice than what is offered in the current market. The protype will be available in mid-June …read more
