Greenheart Shop is a nonprofit, eco-friendly, store in Chicago that specializes in fair trade items. Fair trade is important because it assures the consumer that the artisan who made the piece was paid a fair wage and was working in humane conditions. Those are things that many people here in the US take for granted. Items offered in the shop include clothing, candles, home decor, bath and beauty products, food, paper goods, and children’s toys.
Greenheart, carries some lovely Fair trade jewelry, like the rings below. The rings were made in Indonesia, through a fair trade company called World Finds. The …read more

Is it time for holiday parties yet? I love the slinkyness of this dress from Beau Soleil. The ruching on the waist is perfect if you’ve got a giant holiday meal to eat or if your Mom’s cookies are too good to resist.
The leather wrist cuff is seriously cute. it adds a harder look to this otherwise vixen-esque dress.

This necklace is full of Fair Trade goodness.
The pendants are hand-carved by artisans from sienna and red tagua. Women’s cooperatives from Bali, Ecudor and the US worked together to make this necklace happen, so it’s got a lot of love and hard work in it.
I love the simplicity of the necklace. It’ll be great for a party.
$128 from $198

Every single tee is made sweatshop free and with organic cotton. The sizing goes up to 2XL so everyone can wear their peace with Maninez.
