I’m looking for something cute and casual, with a a little more style than a sneaker. Draven has a couple of slip-on type sneaker shoes that are 40% off. Like this pair…….

Etsy weekend shopping……If you have a love for unique or well-made shoes, but you lack the budget to buy new, you might consider shopping vintage or resale shops. Careful hunting can yield beautiful results, including elusive brands or special details that help to define your own personal sense of style.
Muted Metallic Ballet Espadrilles
Size 5.5-6 $34
A few things to think about……
* Good shoes can be reheeled. Find a qualified shoe repair and a good pair of shoes can last a lifetime.

5 New Eco-friendly Boots For Fall
August 23, 2009 by Michelle Smith

Boots are going to be big this Fall. There are so many styles to chose from, but where are the vegan or eco-friendly choices? I’ve scoured the internet and here are 5 boots that are perfect for updating your wardrobe this Fall.
Diba Women’s Julip Boot
These boots by Diba are perfect for weekend wear. They are low-heeled, run high up the leg, and have a sort of easy-slouchiness to them. I’d pair these boots with tights and a skirt, so that the full length of the boot is visible. They are available in brown, black, and royal blue.

Keds Green Label Sneakers

Back in March, I had the opportunity to give away a pair of Keds Green Label sneakers. At that time, I was supposed to get a pair to test and review, but they never arrived. Well guess what? UPS brought them to me today.
I was a big Keds girl back in the day. I would keep 2 pair in constant rotation so that I always had a clean white pair available. I had this trick were I’d soak one pair in a sink of bleach and water. Eventually they’d disintegrate, as you might expect.
The Green Label Keds sneaker is available …read more

Looking for a new eco-friendly shoe line? Simple with their “shoes for a happy planet,” have a good selection made from green materials like organic cotton, eco-certified leather and suede, hemp, recycled tar tires, recycled inner tubes, and bamboo.
Simple uses a process they call Green Toe to develop a product that is as eco-friendly as possible. They strive for 100% sustainablity. Here’s a quick explanation of their process:
Progress in Green Toe is measured with a scale called “good, better, best.” The best category represents our most sustainable shoes and bags and sets the bar for the rest of the line. …read more
Vintage Summer Style

I haven’t shared any vintage fashion finds lately, so I guess it’s time to head over to Etsy…
Lady Grunge Vintique has a Vintage Gauze White Mexican Tent Dress for $45. Ooh, this looks fresh, pretty, and comfy – just what I’m looking for in a Summer dress. It doesn’t list a size or year, so if you want the specifics, you can contact the seller. Lovely dress, though, and it says that is in “excellent” condition.
I know that people usually equate shoulder pads and neon colors with ’80s fashion, but this Floral Mini reminds me of the sweeter side of …read more

Vegan Chic, one of PETA’s Business Friends, has a wide variety of non-leather, vegan shoes listed at reduced sale prices. These include dressy shoes, slippers, and my personal favorite – sandals.
I like these cute metallic pleather sandals with a jeweled charm on top. They are casual, but just a step up with the metallic finish and sparkly charm. Perfect for wearing with a sundress.
The footbed is cushioned, it has a textured bottom for traction on wet surfaces, and a low, stacked heel. These adorable sandals are available in a brown metallic, a gold metallic, and a torquoise blue metallic.

Tom’s Shoes

I have a bit of a crush on Blake Mycoskie, of Tom’s Shoes. Tom’s Shoes give away one pair of shoes for every pair that they sell. Seriously – one for one. Wow.
It all began back in 2006 when Blake met some shoeless kids in Argentina. Did you know that in developing countries use walking as their primary way of getting were they need to go? The problem with going shoeless is that their feet get hurt from all that barefoot walking and when that happens, it leaves them vulnerable to disease.
Wearing shoes prevents feet from getting cuts and …read more
