Vintage Shoe Shopping Tips

Etsy weekend shopping……If you have a love for unique or well-made shoes, but you lack the budget to buy new, you might consider shopping vintage or resale shops. Careful hunting can yield beautiful results, including elusive brands or special details that help to define your own personal sense of style.

A few things to think about……
* Good shoes can be reheeled. Find a qualified shoe repair and a good pair of shoes can last a lifetime.
* Shoes with cracked leather uppers or shoes that are heavily scuffed are not worth any price. The leather cannot be repaired and anything other than tiny scuffs will be obvious if you try to cover them.
* Some good online shops to look for vintage or even used, but very current shoes, include eBay, Etsy, Vintage Vixen, and Candy Says (UK).
* If you are purchasing your shoes online, be sure to use a seller with a good reputation and rating.
