Your Green Wedding – Dress

I haven’t written about Your Green Wedding in awhile, but there’s still lots of Summer left to wed in ………
Threadhead Creations, an Etsy shop, carries the lovely Grace gown. The dress features darts for shaping and a full, flaring skirt. The dress fabric has an imprint of a floral design. The front has a scoop neckline and the back is open, with criss-cross straps that tie. (My favorite part, I love a dress that makes the wearer look like a beautiful present).

It’s made from blend of hemp and silk (hemp 85% and silk 15%). The dress is lined with 100% silk. The hemp is chemical and pesticide-free. The silk is wild peace silk. Peace silk is gathered in a way that does not bring harm to the moths, so the silk is a vegan material.
This eco-friendly dress is currently available in sizes 2-14 but the seller can also make the dress in sizes 16 and 18. I love that the dress is full and able to flatter so many different figure types. It’s shown, at the shop website, worn with a little bolero-type jacket, which is very cute, but I’d wear it without and cover. Imagine how adorable those straps and that bow would look walking down the aisle.

Quite a beautiful dress, I have recently come across a bride wearing a bamboo / silk dress that was also simple yet stunning.
I bet you have the opportunity to see a lot of beautiful dresses in your line of work.
I’m always amazed at how soft and silky the bamboo fabric is. How does it go from tree to fabric? Fascinating. Hhmm, that might be a good blog subject…….. Thanks for commenting.
