Are you wondering how to put a modern twist to a classic 3-piece suit without looking all too uptight? Thanks to DETAILS magazine, you wouldn’t be wondering anymore. Here are 3 ways on sprucing up a 3-piece suit for the modern days.

The Traditional : A slim-cut pinstriped suit would look quite dashing with classic contrast-collar shirt and a diagonal-stripe tie

The Avant : Simple accents like six-button waistcoat, pointy lapels, or even a small-scale pattern would make a gray 3-piece suit quite timely.

The Aristocratic : Color-Coordinating the shirt and tie with the 3-piece suit will get prevent you from looking so archaic. It wouldn’t hurt to play around with the color hues for sophisticated touch.

Oooh, nothing nicer than a guy in a 3 peice suit. Paul McDermontt (Australian TV comedian/presenter) is the best wearer of 3 peice suits I’ve seen.
Just a pity they guy has the bottom button of the waistcoat fastened in each of the photos! It should really be left undone.
Icy, I agree. Men should at least have 1 in their closets
Gary, I guess that’s how you guys should wear ‘em these days?
Gray??, I thought it was spelled Grey.
Also, top button buttoned, bottom button not.
The King said the standard
I saw Icy’s comment and googled/youtubed Paul McDermott up. And yes, Paul does carry the waistcoat off really well, there’s no doubt about that. Also, I like how he loses the jacket throughtout most of this shows, ahhh, guys in three piece vested suits do look darn good.
3 piece suits are so 90’s
Ditto on the buttons; top done, bottom undone. Otherwise good looking suits.
where can I find the suit under the Avant style?
thank`s so much
