Best man making a speech on the head table at a wedding reception

Being the Best Man to a wedding doesn’t mean just organizing The Bachelor’s party. Your responsibility as a Best Man may not be as complicated, scary, interesting, and a “make my pre-wedding life a happy one or else” responsibility like what’s expected from the Maid Of Honor, it’s still a responsibility, nonetheless.

So what else do you need to do to be the Best Man you can be? GroomGroove.com outlined a list of what’s exactly expected from a Best Man. A list? Oh relax, it’s not a lot.

They missed one important task though. Writing and delivering a good Best Man Speech. But, feel free to check out the list.

Hey Dexie – thanks for the kudos. On page 2 we note the best man’s toast or speech. Yup – that’s a big part. Not easy to be funny either. Cool blog btw.

There’s so much more to best man stuff than I ever thought possible. I used the internet but also got the best man bible (http://www.thebestmanbible.com), and that helped with best man speeches, bachelor party, and duties.

That’s very cool and interesting. I thought that best man and maid of honor would be just the personal assistance of the groom and bride, but they have more responsibilities.
