Long Hair
Okay, I’ve had a few questions about hairstyles already, so I’m going to start with one style that is really popular right now: long hair.
The type of long hair in right now is flatter hair, no volume. You don’t want to go too far beyond your chin, and keep those bangs in check. You’ll need to have pretty thick hair to pull this off, so it’s not for all guys, to be sure. It does go nicely with the scruffy look, though, doesn’t it?
Don’t use too much styling product (what a relief, hey!) if you go for this look. You can use some pommade or styling gel if you have bangs – this will help you achieve the look in the picture, so that the bangs don’t hang right into your eyes!
Getting some layers is ok to thin it out, but not to add volume. Your stylist can help you there – heck, even bring this picture!
Hair tip: bring in pictures of hair you like, but make sure to find a stylist who can judge if its right for you. And, yes, I mean a stylist. Not a barber. Most (not all) barbers have a standard haircut, and vary quite little without good guidance. So, my suggestion to you is to get a great haircut from a stylist – get the cut details written down – then go back to your cheap and easy barber.
