I’m so disappointed with Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2008 Collection. I can’t get passed the length of pants. Why are the socks showing? And what is the point of overlapping shirt underneath the blazers/jackets? You’ll see what I mean when you see the whole Marc Jacobs Fall collection by clicking the link…
Seriously now? Hmmmph!

I guess I kinda still like it but I gotta say that it’s not his best collection. I am disappointed too!

Nothing really new
Nope, not at all Gaelle.
There’s only one picture I like. Three steps down on the left. Goofy clamdiggers w/horizontal stripes, and a crazy jacket with too many zippers, and a hat pulled low over the face, topped off (or bottomed off) with dress shoes and big fat socks.
I’m not saying I’d wear it, but I’d like to know the person that would.
I love it. The shirts hanging out under the jackets reminds me of Basquiat and others and how they would deconstruct old-fashioned menswear. And the cool palette makes me think of the same time period and also Winona Ryder’s ‘Veronica’ in the movie ‘Heathers’. Nostalgia.
