President Elect Barack Obama Looks Fit

When was the last time you saw a President who is not wearing a shirt, and actually looks good without it? Well, the streak is over. I present to you a shirtless President Elect Barack Obama wearing a swimming shorts and sandals while enjoying a family vacation in Hawaii.
Can you imagine George Bush or even Bill Clinton going around shirtless? Barack Obama has always talked about his early morning workout even in the middle of a busy campaign so I’m not surprised with these pictures at all.
I wonder if those are Ferragamo sandals. It looks like one but it could just be another brand. Nevetheless, the President Elect is definitely fit, in more ways than one, heh.

Holy cow. And that dude is how old? The only politician more inspirational to mature adults would be Arnold Schwarzenegger. You can be old…and fit!

Precisely. There used to be a time when US Presidents were too classy and dignified to go prancing around in front of the paparazzi without a shirt on.
Jason, the Obama family are in Hawaii having their holiday vacation. They’re on a beach. Did you expect him to wear a winter coat? It’s not Obama’s fault that paparazzis are vultures and would do anything to get a shot. The Obama family werenh’t prancing around in front of a paparazzi saying , “oh look at us, take a picture”.
Being shirtless in a beach while on a family vacation does not mean he is not classy or undignified. It’s called the right swimwear.
What do you wear when you’re swimming? A tent?
Another thing to notice about this picture is:
1) The water bottle (healthy option)
2) The solid colored trunks. Think more JCrew than PacSun on this one. It’s in fact the classier option for the future leader of the free world. Good job, Obama!

Actually, that’s precisely what they were doing. Obama isn’t some Hollywood celebrity who can’t keep the paparazzi away. He has full protection from the secret service. If some photographer was able to get that shot, it has to be because Obama let him. It’s undignified.
Thanks for pointing that out, Dexie and MD. It isn’t like the President-elect was on a photo op.
Would someone say the late JFK was also not classy or dignified because he was photographed without a shirt while on vacation??
Maybe I shouldn’t have cropped the picture so we’ll know about zoom lenses.
BTW, there was a picture of Gov. Palin showing off her legs while on a Governor Convention vacation weeks after she lost the VP seat. How undignified of her *rolleyes*.
