I say keep both the beard and the coat. I’m biased because I recently started growing mine. As long as it doesn’t get any longer than that I think it looks fine.
Even Princes need to grow up at some point.

Keep the coat. Lose the beard. I never have to worry about even making a choice on this because: 1) My wife doesn’t like beards and 2) I couldn’t grow one even if I wanted to!
