Ralph Lauren sure did a good job designing a very prestigious looking attire for the TEAM USA at the 2008 Olympics Opening Ceremony in Beijing. From the newsboy cap, to double vent blazer to pants all the way to the canvas sneakers. Team USA looked marvelous. No more track suits or parachute sets and berets that’s for sure
. Great use of the red, white and blue colors.

These are the worst suits of all time! Hideous!
They look like homos.
…Ralph Lauren has disgraced the U.S. more than any loss in track and field with their opening ceremony attire…where are the pink triangles and rainbows? Disgusting.
These have got to be voted the worst in Opening Ceremony history. I am ashamed.
Ron, Bubby and Regis, who happened to have all the same IP address :
I thought USA looked fine. It was a definite upgrade from their previous attires. Better than some cowboy outfit that they donned years ago.
Plus, it’s just clothes. It’s not going to disgrace them one bit since I’m sure they’ll be winning medals left and right anyway.
Boring!
I thought Team USA looked very classy and sophisticated in their attire. It was clean cut, classic, and most importantly, nothing too showy or trendy. The navy jackets and off-white pants along with the newsboy caps were conservative yet casual at the same time. RL did a great job. Team USA looked dapper.
What happen Ralph?? I often buy RL’s clothes because they are sharp and classy.
The US team looked like they just got off the boat!
Love the hate – but are those trousers pleated??
