The DETAILS Men’s Style Manual written by Dan Peres also compiled rules of style from various iconic designers. I will be going through them here at She Knows Best for the month of November. Who better to start it off but Mr. Giorgio Armani himself.
1. Clothing is the outward expression of the inner person. I agree. You must feel something within you to motivate the kind of style you wear on a daily basis. Natural and effortless is the way to and the only way to accomplish that is if to listen to your inner character.
2. An air of mystery is a very sensual thing. As always, a little skin goes a long way 
.
3. Sexy is not a matter of age. Armani believes that sexiness increases as you get older. True. Nothing beats experience, indeed.
4. If you’re a man lost for style, find a male role model. Compare to women celebrity styles, there are Male celebrities whose styles are inspirational. Brad Pitt? Derek Jeter? George Clooney? Pick yours, see how it goes and decide from there. Also, Armani advices every Men to go shopping. Don’t be afraid.
5. Growing up in Milan Giorgio went to the cinema constantly and was captivated by the impossible glamorous men that he saw. I couldn’t agree more. Clark Gable, James Dean, Cary Grant, just to name a few. The sophistication these stylish Men brought is unforgettable.
6. Giorgio Armani says NO to spandex and superhero costumes. Enough said.
7. ALWAYS take the advice of a woman over that a man. ALWAYS. Interesting how DETAILS highlighted this Armani rule with a colored box. That means Dan Peres agrees with it wholeheartedly. Well so does She Knows Best. Hah!
8. Armani’s taste in music has always been eclectic. He loves Cole Porter and 50 Cent. Outkast is his choice when he needs a pick-me-up to feel better.He suggests seeing U@ live before you die. Pretty much.
9. There is a French phrase, nostalgie de la boue. It means romanticize low culture — literally, “nostalia for mud..” He encourages dressing down and experimenting with style while a person is young. Once you get older, he thinks it will be a bit less fun.
10. Men have to have the courage to be sexy to be attractive. Men shouldn’t hide themselves. Stop being afraid on being sexy.
Well that concludes Giorgio Armani’s Rules of Style. I hope you guys learned something like I did. I particularly love #7.
